I have two girls 12 and 4, are there rides that we can all do together as a family? Also my 4 year old is obsessed with the princesses. Is there places she can meet the princesses in the park or do we need to do the meal at the castle to meet them?

Hey Jessica!  I have that same problem with different ages and you are going to be pleasantly surprised at how many attractions you can enjoy as a family!  For example at the MK, you all can enjoy Dumbo, It's A Small World, The Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan's Flight, Buzz Lightyear ... and that's all just at the MK!
And absolutely your little princess can meet her favorites princesses in the parks.  The best recommendation I can give you is to grab a schedule of events when you enter each park and it will actually show you were characters can be found.  Now I will admit the princess character dinings do make it easier to see them and cuts out waiting in a line, but if you are unable to get this ADR you will be able to find them in the MK, DHS, and Epcot.
Thanks so much for the great question, and I hope you have the most magical WDW vacation.
