Hi Erica,
What a magical way to begin the new year with a visit to the Walt Disney World® Resort! I would suggest booking two tables of four as long as you are ok with not sitting together during the meals. As long as you book the
advanced dining reservations within 15 minute time periods, you could ask the cast members at the restaurant if they could seat you together but there is no guarantee that they could. However, I do want to point out that, at this time, an automatic 18% gratuity is typically charged for parties of six or more, so keep that in mind as well. Check your dining reservation confirmation details.
So, make a decision - if you want to sit together, make the reservation for eight and be prepared to pay the automatic gratuity. In the past, I have booked separate, smaller reservations when availability for a larger party was limited. When we arrived to the restaurant, I asked if they could seat us together and cast members have done their best to accommodate the request. We understood when they could not make it happen!
As you prepare to make those dining reservations, make note of your
advanced dining reservation booking window, review the dining location menus to check pricing, and be sure to book at least one character meal experience. A few of our favorites include
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera (breakfast),
1900 Park Fare, and
Cinderella's Royal Table. Keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for more updates about New Year's Eve and keep in mind that you are arriving just at the end of the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays Presented by AdventHealth.
Erica, in the spirit of Princess Tiana, I just sent a wish to the Evening Star trusting that you will get those dining reservations made!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
