Hi Erica,
Welcome to planDisney!
We are excited to see that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World® Resort in December! Fortunately, Walt Disney World has a
Special Dietary Requests team that works to support guests with food allergies or other dietary restrictions. While you can check the menus of dining locations, you can also speak with the chef when you arrive.
First, start looking at online menus. My girls love
Cinderella's Royal Table,
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, and
Be Our Guest Restaurant. Once you scroll down, you should see a section for allergy-friendly options. Since menus do not include all possible food options or dietary restrictions, speak with a cast member when you arrive to each location. Normally, the cast member who serves us will ask if we want to speak with the chef.
My daughter who has four different food allergies typically chooses to speak with the chef to be sure that what she has selected by looking at an online menu will actually be ok for her to eat or, if she was unable to find something on the menu, the chef will let her know what options she has. Also review the details on when to
contact the Special Diets Team in Advance. Since my daughter has such specific allergies, we also always bring snacks for her and we check the ingredients when buying snacks from stores in the parks and resorts. As you continue to plan, consider what you might be able to pack for your children to snack on between meals. Also, be sure to make
advanced dining reservations.
Erica, looking at your arrival date, you will be visiting during the
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort! This is a special time of year with fabulous holiday parties including
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and
Disney Jollywood Nights. Be sure to check out the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays Presented by AdventHealth, particularly the
Candlelight Processional Dining Package. Let the countdown begin!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
