Hey there, Susan!
Thank you for sending in another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your October vacation is just around the corner, so the countdown is on! The fall is a great time to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort with all that's happening around the parks and resorts!
Magic Kingdom is filled with festive decor, the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is in full swing, and the Planet of Batuu is ready to be explored in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. I know you cannot wait to arrive next month.
Susan, I always bring a few
Disney Gift Cards to use towards my Disney vacation expenses. I've used them to pay for everything from food to souvenirs and find it a great way to budget for my family. When I have visited, I've used them as needed and attached them to my resort room to be able to utilize my
MagicBand for all purchases. I enjoy the ease of just tapping my MagicBand, but I typically tend to use the cards directly because I find it a bit easier to keep up with my balance. When you make a purchase directly, the remaining balance will show on your receipt. If you decide to stop by the front desk to apply the cards to your resort room, you'll want to do that before the last night of your stay. The overnight hours before you check out will be when charges are applied to either your Disney Gift Cards or the credit card on file.
I hope I've given you a good idea of what to expect when using Disney Gift Cards during your Walt Disney World stay, Susan. Please let us know if you think of any additional last-minute questions before arriving at "The Most Magical Place on Earth!"
Nancy
