Ahoy, Karen!
I love your question because there is SO much to experience for adults aboard especially while your son is enjoying the fabulous youth spaces! I can't wait to share all there is to do on your relaxing days at sea.
On my family's most recent sailing on the Disney Fantasy, my husband and I had a lot of time together while our children participated in the youth programming. On one of our sea days, we booked brunch at
Palo. This is always one of our must-dos because the brunch offers a wide variety of both menu and buffet items. It's quite filling, so I typically reserve it for around 11:00 a.m. so it serves as breakfast and lunch for that day. It is an additional cost per person, but always well worth it. (The Oceaneer Club/Lab serves lunch to sailors checked in during meal time!) After brunch, we like to take it easy by catching a first-run movie at the Buena Vista Theatre. Lots of other fun activities will be available to you as well including the "Anyone Can Cook" cooking demonstrations, towel folding, trivia, BINGO, walking ship tours and live music. If you want an insider look into the design and hidden secrets of your Disney ship, I suggest joining in the "Art of the Theme Show Tour."
A day at sea is the perfect opportunity to indulge in some pampering at the Senses Spa. A long list of menu options is available including a massage for couples. If my husband and I don't book a massage, we like to spend time in the Rainforest Room. One day passes are available online in the Gift and Amenities Section or you can purchase a weeklong pass once aboard. This space is co-ed and includes various showers, a sauna and steam room. My favorite area includes heated tile loungers that line up in front of floor to ceiling windows overlooking two hot tubs and views for miles!
Your days at sea will be heavenly!
Nancy
