I have two boys 9 and 6 years old. What is the best pirate adventure to go to? We are going for Thanksgiving week. It will be my little one's birthday. Thanks

Hi, Monica!  The Pirate Adventure cruises that leave from the resorts are all very similar.  The children wear bandanas, they have a story told to them, which is unique to each location, and they are given lunch and snacks.  They are all two hours long, and this is a great time for Mom and Dad to check out one of the resort restaurants for a leisurely lunch before picking the little ones back up at the boat.  This is a great adventure for children, and a nice break for mom and dad.

The differences between them are basically the story that is told and the meeting location.  The kids all hunt for treasure, regardless of which location they leave from.

Another terrific pirate experience is the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage.   This is something the whole family can do.  You meet at the Contemporary Resort for a snack buffet fit for a band of hungry pirates.  There are cold drinks, coffee, tea, and cocoa; and snacks that can include fresh fruit, trail mix, cookies, brownies, cotton candy, and other delectable delights.  After a meet and greet with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, your Pirate Master, Patch, escorts you to your awaiting pontoon boat for your voyage across the Seven Seas Lagoon.  While on the lagoon, you have a front row seat for the Electric Water Pageant, plus an amazing view of the Wishes Fireworks from the Magic Kingdom.  There are games and chances to win pirate prizes, and Patch does his best at acknowledging everyone's special celebrations!  It's great fun!

You can book any of these pirate special events by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.

Whichever you decide to do, I hope the boys have a wonderful time, and your little one enjoys a magical birthday!
