Are there two boat launches at Downtown Disney? On the map it appears there is a launch by the Houe of Blues and another by Cap'n Jack's. Is this correct. Trying to find restaurants close to the boat launch(es) we are staying at POFQ.

    Hi Tamira,

Yes there are 2 boat docks in Downtown Disney. There is a shuttle type boat that goes from the West Side dock near to the House of Blues to the Market Place dock near to the Rain Forest Cafe and back again. At the Market Place dock you will also find 2 other boats, these go to Disney resorts. One services Saratoga Springs and Old Key West and the other services Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter. I've stayed at Riverside several times and this boat journey is lovely, very relaxing.

You will find some lovely restaurants near both docks, including my families favourite quick service Earl of Sandwich. We find that a great way to explore Downtown is to start at one dock, I would recommend the Market Place as you're coming from Port Orleans, look at all the shops, have a meal etc and make your way to the other dock. Then simply catch the shuttle boat back to the Market Place to board your resort boat.

One tip for the Market Place dock is to check the colour of the flag on the boats. Each boat route has a different colour flag flying and there should be a sign on the dock clearly showing which route is which colour!

    Have a great trip,
