My two adult daughters and myself are going to WDW Memorial Day weekend...we are thinking of going to Olivia's because I heard the conch fritters and banana pudding are awesome...it is a bit out of the way to where we will be is it worth it?

Hi, Susan!  Olivia's is one of my favorite last mintue restaurants anywhere at Walt Disney World.  Whenever we've decided at the last minute to head down to Walt Disney World without reservations, or when we think we are going to just order a pizza and decide at the last minute we want to go sit down, we can almost always get a table at Olivia's.  It's just a little hidden gem that takes you away to the beautiful Florida Keys.

I am not a fan of conch fritters, but my husband swears they are every bit as good as ones he's eaten in Key West.  I love the key lime mustard sauce that comes with them, though, and would dip just about anything into that yummy addition to the conch fritters.

Now when it comes to the banana bread pudding sundae, you are speaking my language.  This is a warm and delicious bread pudding, topped with a generous scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, and then the whole thing is topped with a bananas foster sauce.  Oh. My. Yum.  If loving this dessert is wrong, I don't wanna be right.  I have even taken a trip over to Old Key West after having dinner somewhere else just to order this for dessert.  It is one of my favorite desserts anywhere.

I think the visit is worth going a bit out of your way for.  I also recommend the Island BBQ ribs - they just melt in your mouth!

    Have a great vacation!
