    My two adult children, 10-year-old grandson and I have a standard room reserved at Animal Kingdom Lodge for November, and really need a rollaway cot . Is there a way of definitely securing one?

    Carol,

    Technically all you can do is request it when you do your online check-in 10 days before your arrival day, and hope for the best. A few things to do to improve your chances;

    • Have your reservation noted with the request immediately, via whatever means that you used to make the reservation in the first place.
    • Use the online Resort Check in 10 days out and note the request again.
    • Call or fax the resort on that 10-day date. Tell them verbally and that will greatly improve your chances.
    • Know that unless you are coming during the busy Thanksgiving holiday time, November is usually pretty light, and you should have no problem.
    • Even if you are coming at the busy time, if you show that prompt effort 10 days out, you should be fine.
    I know that is not the "Absolutely, and here is how..." answer you were looking for, but if you follow these suggestions, you should be OK!

    FYI, contacting them more than 10 days in advance will do you no good, based on how they manage room reservations at Disney.

    Have a magical vacation!
