TV based questions- Are the nighttime spectaculars (World of Colour/Believe in Holiday Magic) streamed on the in-room TV's in the resorts? Is there someplace to find a listing of channels available in the hotels? - thanks!

Hiya Tom, and welcome back to planDisney!

We do love hearing from our repeat patrons and I can see that you really love planning all the details that go into making a magical Disney vacation! A lot of the charm of staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels is arriving and seeing the TV on the wall displaying "Welcome, <your name> Family!" It's an extra special touch that puts a smile onto your face and lets you know that you're in for something special.

I wasn't able to find a channel listing online, but I'm actually staying at the Disneyland Hotel currently, so I had a chance to go through the channel selection and I'd be happy to pass on this info. Channels 2-58 are basic cable offerings while 59-63 are specific to the Disneyland Resort Hotels. You'll also find a Disney on Demand section, which has lots of fun, curated Disney content (I loved the D23 Fan Fun section and their 5 Facts videos). Here's the channel breakdown:

    2 - CBS
    3 - Disney Channel

    5 - The CW
    6 - Disney Junior

Unfortunately, the nighttime spectaculars are not live-streamed onto the TVs at the Disneyland Resort Hotels. You may listen to the soundtracks on Channels 60 and 61 anytime, which is really cool but it is not synchronized to the show. All channel information is subject to change.

If you are staying at the Disneyland Hotel (my favorite!), the soundtrack for Disneyland Park's nighttime spectacular is piped in to the Adventure Tower Lawn at the Rose Court Garden, so some Guests gather there to watch. Over at the Pixar Place Hotel, the soundtrack is piped in to the Pool Deck and you have a great view of the fireworks.

Tom, as always, it is our pleasure to be able to help you plan your magical Holiday vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth! If you need anything further, please don't hesitate to reach out again! We'd love to continue being involved with your trip and you're always welcome at planDisney! Until next time!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
