Is the Tusker House Restaurant at Animal Kingdom the same restaurant that used to have wonderful sandwiches, but has now switched to a buffet?

Hi Sharon!  Yes, Tusker House used to be a counter-service restaurant but changed to a buffet in 2007. Tusker House now hosts Donald's Safari Breakfast in the mornings and an African-inspired buffet for lunch and dinner. My family tried the lunch buffet earlier this year, and we really enjoyed it! The food offerings reminded me of Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge; there was a wide variety of American and African dishes and a good selection for both meat-eaters and vegetarians.

Hope this helps! Have a magical day!
