We have an 8:40 AM Tusker House Reservation in June for my wife and I and our three children. If we all check in early at the restaurant, can me and my son leave to get in line for Pandora and try to get back by the time they are seated?

    Dear David,

I'm so glad that you decided to stop by to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning ahead for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

I totally understand your excitement about experiencing Avatar Flight of Passage! You will absolutely love it! I'm not sure if Disney's Animal Kingdom is opening at 8am or 9am on the day that you plan to visit. If it's open at 8am, I recommend that you arrive at 6:45am or no later than 7am, and you may be able to get through the attraction and off to breakfast in time. If you seem to be running out of time to get there, you can always get out of line and head over to Tusker House to make your Advanced Dining Reservation.

If Disney's Animal Kingdom opens at 9am on the day that you have chosen, then it may be a bit more challenging. While it is true that occasionally guests are allowed to queue up for Avatar Flight of Passage ahead of park opening, it would be very unlikely that you would make it back to Tusker House in time for your Advanced Dining Reservation. Unfortunately, they will not seat your party until everyone is there.

I hope that helped to answer your question. If it didn't, feel free to reach out to us again!
