How do I turn off my Magic band or do I even need to?

    Hi David!

It is not a requirement to turn off your MagicBand+. If it is simply sitting at your house then you have nothing to worry about. It can only be used at Disney locations or cruises so there is little risk associated with someone taking or utilizing your MagicBand+ without permission. Disney also equips these devices with a required PIN so as long as you keep this a secret, someone would not be able to use it for purchases anyway.

If you want to turn off your MagicBand+ for that extra level of security then there are options available for you. Simply go into the My Disney Experience App and click on "MagicBands and More." Once you are in, you will be able to see any MagicBand+, MagicBand, and Admission Cards associated with your account. Choose the MagicBand+ that you want to deactivate, scroll down to "Activated" and click on the "Deactivate" button. This will immediately deactivate the MagicBand+ so you can rest easy that it won't be used without your permission. When you are ready to visit again, go back in the same way and click to "Activate" your device.

While you are at Disney World, the International Flower and Garden Festival will be taking place at EPCOT. It is one of my favorite events at Disney World because the whole theme park is transformed into an enchanted garden with topiaries of your favorite Disney characters. There are also themed Outdoor Kitchens serving savory foods and cocktails from all around the world that you can try. There is also a concert series and exclusive merchandise that make this whole event next level.

    Happy Planning
