I have been trying for three years now to get a reservation at LeCellier for dinner, but they are always booked, even at 180 days in advance (this is in early December). Are there ever any exceptions to the 180 day rule?

I'm very surprised to hear you say that you have been repeatedly unable to get a reservation to Le Cellier when calling 180 days in advance. Le Cellier is a popular restaurant, but it shouldn't be unattainable, particularly in the earlier part of December when the crowds should not be too bad. In the past, I have called and gotten Le Cellier reservations for my family with only two months notice.

Have you tried getting reservations for both lunch and dinner? Are you flexible with what time you'll eat? Do you have a particularly large party size that you could split into two tables for easier seating?

As for the 180 day rule ... this is how it works. Any Disney visitor can make an advance dining reservation for a meal 180 days in the future. If you are staying at one of the Disney World resorts (and you'll need your resort confirmation number to do this), you can call 180 days out from the first day of your vacation and make dining reservations for your entire trip (for up to 10 days of travel). In effect, this means that Disney resort guests can make reservations up to 190 days in advance.

But again, whether or not you are a Disney resort guest, you should be able to get a Le Cellier reservation 180 days in advance. If for some reason this is not the case, keep calling back, several times a week if necessary. People cancel or change reservations all the time.

I'm sure you'll have a great meal at Le Cellier.
