Trying to stay at Coronado springs but have 3 children and saying can’t accommodate 5 people, we can easily fit into 2 queen beds. Is this allowed?

Hi Caitlin! Thanks for visiting us at planDisney!

I love finally settling in and booking my next Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I feel like I plan in my head all the time, but I love setting those plans in stone.  We are also a family of five, with three children, so I know exactly what you're dealing with! Co-sleeping is big with my little ones, though my oldest always wants her own space! We tend to look for a Disney Resorts Collection hotel that can fit us all comfortably while still staying within our budget.  Thankfully Disney has so many options that we're always happy and often really excited about trying something new.

Depending on the ages of your children, you may or may not be able to fit in a Standard Guest Room at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.  Disney considers children who are under age three infants, meaning that whether you choose to use a Pack n' Play or snuggle with two kids in bed, you'll be able to fit your entire family into one Standard room if your youngest is considered an infant.  Did you know that kids under three years old also enter the Theme Parks and eat at buffet and family-style meals for no cost?  It's a GREAT time to take them and save a little money so that you can visit again in the future!

If your youngest is over three, you still have some wonderful options! If Coronado Springs's pool is calling you or you're set on its theming, you and your family can still find accommodations there that will keep everyone comfortable! The Casitas - 1 Bedroom Suite sleeps six adults and includes two Queen-sized beds and one queen-sized sleeper sofa.

Other Resort options to consider that are closer to the price of a Standard Room at Coronado Springs are the "5th Sleeper" Guest rooms at either Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort or Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.  Both of these Moderate Resorts offer rooms with two Queen-sized beds and a child-size pull-down bed. This pull-down is my daughter's favorite, as she doesn't have to share space or blankets! With this configuration, we all get a good night's sleep (or as good as we're going to get with three kids!) so we can pop up early for "rope drop" the next day!

Take a look at these other Resorts, you may be pleasantly surprised at their beauty and convenience to the Parks! There is even a Disney Skyliner station located at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, putting your family just a hop, skip, and fly away from both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios!

    Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
