Hi, trying to spare travel time btwn dining at resorts and enjoying parks. Sun. arrive & downtown dsny, Wed. Epcott, Fri. Magic Kgdm. Trying to match up restaurants: Chef Mickey, Ohana, 1900 Fare. How would you match up for best time savings? Thanks

Hi Jackie! I like how you're thinking! It's really smart to make your dining reservations at restaurants close to the park you're visiting each day so you don't spend a lot of time traveling between the park and the restaurant. All three of the restaurants you mentioned are extremely close to the Magic Kingdom. You can hop on the monorail from any of these restaurants and be at the Magic Kingdom in just a few minutes.

Of the three restaurants you mentioned, Chef Mickey's or Ohana are probably the best matches for Epcot since the Contemporary and Polynesian are both next to the Transportation and Ticket Center, where you can catch the monorail to and from Epcot. If you're planning Chef Mickey's for breakfast, schedule it for the Epcot day since you'll be able to hop on the monorail and quickly arrive at the Transportation and Ticket Center where you'll change trains to head to Epcot. If you're planning dinner instead of breakfast, then 'Ohana is the best choice, since the Polynesian is the first monorail stop after the Transportation and Ticket Center, where you'll arrive from Epcot.

While Downtown Disney is not exactly close to any of those restaurants, it's easy to reach all of them from there. Just catch a bus directly to the Contemporary for Chef Mickey's, Polynesian for 'Ohana, or Grand Floridian for 1900 Park Fare.

There are lots of great restaurants in Epcot and at Downtown Disney, so if you want to reduce your travel time even further, you might want to consider reserving restaurants at those locations. Come visit me again at the Moms Panel if you need recommendations! I'm happy to help!

    Have a magical vacation!
