Trying to set up my Disney Experience Account. How do I link park tickets and hotel reservation to my magic band and Disney experience account?

Hello, Steven and welcome to planDisney! I’m happy to serve as your Fairy Godmother-in-training and get you on the road to a Magical vacation.

If you’ve already completed step one and created a My Disney Experience account, linking park tickets and your Disney Resorts Collection hotel is as easy as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!

Once you’re logged in, hover over the bold “My Disney Experience” tab at the top right hand corner until you see “My Plans.” When you click on “My Plans” you’ll be taken to a page when you’ll see a series of blue icons, each with an option to link a reservation. If you have booked a vacation package (that includes both your resort stay and your theme park tickets) you’ll only have one confirmation number that you need to link. If you purchased tickets separately from your Disney Resorts Collection hotel only stay, you’ll need to link them separately. From the “My Plans” page you’ll also see the option to add Family & Friends, link dining reservations and make a Disney Park Pass reservation.

Steven, in addition to your theme park ticket you will need to make a complimentary Disney Park Pass reservation to gain entry for each day you’re planning to spend at a park. Please take a look at THIS question and answer to learn more about the Disney Park Pass system.

Finally, Steven, let’s talk about MagicBands! If you have purchased MagicBands through your My Disney Experience account for pre-arrival shipping, you don’t need to do anything extra. The bands will be already linked and ready for you. Now, Steven, if you find a MagicBand while you’re ON vacation that you just can’t live without (as I often do when shopping at the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A.) then you WILL need to link that one to your My Disney Experience account. There will be a number on the inside of the MagicBand “face” that can be attached to your account. To do this, you’ll hover over the bold “My Disney Experience” tab until you see “My MagicBands and Cards.” By clicking on this page you can see all of your active MagicBands that are already linked to your account AND link any new purchases.

Steven, while not as impressive as turning a pumpkin into a carriage, I do hope you find this information useful as you’re planning for your visit. Please come on back to planDisney with any additional questions.

If we don’t see you hEAR again before your trip, let me offer you best wishes for a pixie dusted stay.
