Trying to reserve dining. I have 4 parties that are linked together on the app, but the kids from the other parties don’t show up. Are they automatically added if I add their parents, or do they need to be listed on the reservation? Thank You.

    Hi Aspen,

I'm excited to hear that you're planning a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation with some fellow Mouseketeers! The only thing better than visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth is sharing the experience with loved ones, and I just know that you and your crew are going to make memories together you'll all cherish for years to come!

You'll be happy to know that yes, it's possible to make your dining reservations without being linked to everyone in your party. It's great to be able to link other Guests when they're using My Disney Experience so that the plans show up in their itinerary, too, but it's not necessary. You'll simply want to make sure you make your reservations for the correct number of Guests. Please feel free to link anyone you see from your Family & Friends list who will be dining with you, and leave the rest of the Guests as their simple number (Guest 4, Guest 5, etc.). Their spots will still be held; they just won't be identified within My Disney Experience.

Here are a few tips for you as you're planning, Aspen...

    1. If you'd like to have everyone in your travel party linked to your Family & Friends account, here's a handy dandy guide for linking. It can come in handy to have everyone linked if you're sharing a Memory Maker. Did you know that when you purchase Memory Maker, you'll be able to view, share, and download the photos and videos of up to 25 Guests on your Family & Friends list? That's a pretty sweet benefit for large groups!

    2. If you have any meals where you'll have a large number of Guests dining together, it could be tricky to find reservations through the regular channels. My fellow panelist Andrea recently shared some great tips about how to make dining reservations for larger parties. I hope it helps!

I'm sending pixie dust that you find the perfect dining reservations for your party, Aspen! Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're planning your trip. I hope you have a truly magical...and delicious...vacation this summer!
