Hi! We are trying to reserve a character dining experience for our visit next month, but there is nothing available on any days we are planning to go. Will there be more reservations opening up at some point? Or is there a way we can be put on a waitlist?

    Hi Spencer!

Dining with the characters is such a magical experience, I can completely understand why you want to make this a part of your upcoming vacation! There have been several times that I have planned an entire trip around meeting the characters, whether that be through character dining experiences, meet-n-greets, or special events.

While there may not be any character dining experiences available at the current time, don't fret! Guests often modify or cancel their dining plans as their vacation nears. I highly encourage you to keep checking online for advanced dining reservations. Another option you have is to use the Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability option when you are in the park. With this feature, you can log on to the My Disney Experience mobile app, check availability by scanning the QR code located in the restaurant’s lobby, and then use the app to add your party to the walk-up list.

It's also important to note that there have been a few changes and enhancements to dining to ensure the health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members. As a result, character dining experiences have been slightly modified and are available at Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill, Hollywood & Vine, Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White, Topolino’s Terrace, and Tusker House. I am sure that between all of those dining locations, a spot will open up in time for your vacation!

I hope you have a magical vacation!
    Magically,
    Stacy
