I have been trying to make reservations at any of the WDW resorts and there is no availability at any of them. This seems odd that they would all be sold out as I have plugged in different dates. I am looking at going in January.

    Hi Jennifer!

Welcome to planDisney! After almost two years of Americans giving up or rescheduling vacations, it seems everyone is excited to return to the Walt Disney World Resort! Additionally, the US borders to many countries including Canada and the United Kingdom have reopened and Disney Parks fans from around the world are now finally returning to their laughing place.

With January just a few weeks away, the Disney Resort Collection Hotels are tightly booked at this point, which is why your search isn’t yielding any results. Guests are staying for a bit after the holidays, and the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is returning after a hiatus during the second weekend of January. Runners from around the world will converge on the Walt Disney World Resort to participate in one of the four races offered over the weekend! You’ll find much of the winter and spring has very limited availability.

If you can travel later in 2022, you’ll likely find much better availability. With Advance Dining Reservations booking 60 days in advance, traveling later in the year will also give you better chances of booking some of the most popular dining locations. You might want to consider May for great weather and lower crowds. My family also enjoys traveling in September and early October to enjoy the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. This is one of the most popular special events at Walt Disney World, and I highly recommend it!

You can keep checking back in case another Guest cancels, Jennifer. Or you may also want to check out the hotels near Disney Springs as alternate options. No matter when you choose to visit, I hope you have a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.
