Hi Theresa,
Ooh...
T-REX would be a roaring great place to dine during your vacation! I'm sorry to hear that you weren't able to grab a reservation 60 days beforehand when
dining reservations opened up, but I'd be happy to share some encouragement that it's still possible for your prehistoric dining dreams to come true!
First, I just want to explain that the reason you can't find availability at all of the restaurants 60 days beforehand is that Guests staying in the magic with
Disney Resorts Collection have the added benefit of being able to make their dining reservations for the entire length of their stay (up to 10 days) at that 60-day point. So if you log in and try to find a reservation 60 days beforehand, it's possible that other Guests have been booking that restaurant for that day for the previous 10 days. Hakuna Matata...no worries, though. All hope is not lost. Guests do change their plans all the time, so please
keep checking! Something could open up and you could still be able to find a time to dine at T-REX. If it's a priority for your trip, I'd encourage you to check several dates and times regularly to see if you can find any openings. I'm sending pixie dust that something will open up and you'll be able to enjoy a dino-tastic meal!
In the meantime, you may want to consider grabbing another dining reservation for that evening. You can always cancel it if you find an opening at T-REX, but I just did a quick check for a party of four for that evening, and while subject to change, it looks like there are still some fantastic options available. In fact, a couple of my favorite non-theme-park restaurants are still available -
Olivia's Cafe and
Trattoria al Forno!
Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, Theresa, and please come see us again with any other questions you may have as you're planning your trip. I hope you have a truly magical vacation this
summer!
Missy
