I am trying to make reservations at a resort for our trip in November. Everything I have looked at says their are no available rooms at any hotel for the dates I am wanting to go. Would love some help to figure out what I am doing wrong.

    Hello Kira!

Welcome to planDisney! With things finally beginning to look better in the world, Americans are excited to begin traveling again and make up for their lost vacations. Autumn is a popular time to visit, and this fall will begin the Golden Anniversary Celebration marking the 50th Anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort! There will be new attractions, nighttime spectaculars, EARidescent celebratory decor throughout the theme parks, special merchandise, treats, and more!

You may not be doing anything wrong, Kira. There simply is very little availability. I’m not sure how long you are wanting to visit for, or how many people there are in your party. When I search for a party of 2 adults and 2 kids, checking in on November 7th for a week stay, I only see availability at 4 resorts: Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside. When I search those dates for a family of 5 my choices are narrowed to two resorts, and when I search for a family of 6 only the Family Suites at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort are available.

Room availability and inventory do change frequently, so it is possible there weren’t any rooms available last week, but that more are available now. If you are wanting to visit this November, I would book sooner rather than later. For all the reasons I listed above, things are likely to be fully booked very soon.

If you do another search and still don’t see availability, double-check you have entered the correct dates. You may also want to clear the cookies in your browser, try a different browser, or search in a new private window to see if that helps. Also, if you search and see what seems like an excessively large price, you may be seeing a package price that includes tickets and not a room-only per-night price. Be sure to look at the details so you are sure of what the price quoted is for.

I hope one of these ideas helps you find availability! If you are still struggling you can call to book. Do be aware that hold times can be quite lengthy right now, so be sure you have time to wait on hold. I usually put my phone on speaker and listen to the fun Disney music as I get other things done.

Sending you pixie dust for that perfect reservation!
