I am trying to make reservations for our Disney vacation online. I was informed that Disney honors military discount, how is this discount applied to tickets and hotel reservations? Do I have to call and speak to a cast member to apply the discount?

    Hey there Brittani,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for both your question and your or your family member's service! Also, it's always a pleasure to get to answer questions from a fellow resident of the Grand Canyon State.

You are absolutely correct that there are promotional offers for US military members at the Disneyland Resort. For 2025, there are currently discounts on both hotel stays and also theme park tickets. I'll note that there are some helpful bullet points for each of these offers in the "Important Details" section near the bottom of each of the pages as well.

For the US military member hotel discount, you'll want to call (800) 453-4911 to check rates and availability, and to make reservations. Also, keep in mind that the eligible service member or spouse must present a valid military identification at check-in.

Disney Military Promotional Tickets may be purchased at participating US military sales outlets and valid military identification is required for both purchase and use.

You can also add the Park Hopper ticket option and Lightning Lane Multi Pass to these discounted tickets, both of which I am a huge fan. If you haven't used them before, the Park Hopper option allows you to "hop" between both parks of the Disneyland Resort starting at 11:00 AM each day. The Lightning Lane Multi Pass includes a few different perks, but most notably allows you to select a return time for Lightning Lanes throughout your day to experience shorter wait times. Both perks provide quite a bit of extra flexibility and convenience to your trip.

Lastly, make sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog before your visit to keep up to date on all the fun things happening around the Happiest Place on Earth. Thanks again for your question, Brittani, and have a great trip to the Disneyland Resort next month!

    Have a Magical Day,
