Hi there, Rett!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thanks for coming by to ask your question about the
Disneyland Resort. I truly appreciate your service to our nation, and I’m so glad to hear you’re interested in enjoying a magical first visit to The Happiest Place on Earth with your family!
There is currently a
Disney Military Promotional Park Hopper Ticket offer that can be purchased on base. These specially-priced tickets are a wonderful way for military families to explore
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park together! The offer is available to members of the U.S. military with valid ID. You may purchase these tickets if you are an active duty military member, a retired veteran with 20+ years of service, or a 100% permanent and total service-connected disabled veteran. The tickets are only available at a participating U.S. military base ticket office and cannot be purchased online or at the resort, so be sure to inquire in advance.
This promotion includes only 3-day and 4-day tickets, but it offers the best value for military members who want to visit the parks. If your military status does not meet the offer qualifications or you’d prefer tickets that include fewer days, there may be a couple of other options to help you experience the magic for less. Most on-base ticket offices offer slightly discounted theme park tickets (that are not a part of the aforementioned offer) you can buy in person before your visit to the resort. As a bargain-hunter myself, I like to buy
Disney Gift Cards at Target using my Target Circle Card to earn 5% off my total purchase. The gift cards can then be used to pay for
park tickets and hotel accommodations or cover the cost of shopping and dining once you arrive. Select warehouse clubs also offer promotional prices on gift cards from time to time, so be sure to check for current deals if you’re a member of one.
I hope this helps, Rett, and that you and your family are able to visit the Disneyland Resort soon! Please feel free to
write back and ask any other questions you may have before your travels begin.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
