Hiya, pal, and welcome to planDisney! Mickey and I are happy you stopped by, Renee. Visiting
Walt Disney World Resort with a large group of Mouseketeers sounds exciting, so let's look at strategies for making dining plans for the club that's made for you and me....and your friends!
After experimenting on the dining page for
Chef Mickey's, I found availability for parties of eight but not nine. I suspect this restaurant is limiting that number, or they only have one or two tables large enough to accommodate more than eight. But never fear! I have a few suggestions.
First, feel free to call (407) 939-3463 for assistance with dining. The Cast Members might be able to wave their wands to secure a reservation for all nine of your friends. I'm crossing my white-gloved fingers that they can fix you right up for a delicious meal with the top mouse himself.
Another option is to make two smaller
reservations. You probably can't make both under your account since the booking system only allows you to have one reservation during a meal period. But I've solved this issue by enlisting the help of another person in my party. We'll each book a smaller table, so our total seats still add up to nine. Try to reserve times as close together as possible, and when you check in at the restaurant, let the host know you'd like to sit close to one another. I've found the Cast Members will do all they can to help you have a magical experience.
My tip for enjoying this
buffet is to focus on the fun! If there's a dance party with Minnie...DANCE! When characters come around for a hug...HUG! Take all the photos and enjoy your time with each classic friend. The food is typical comfort food, but the characters are the standout stars at Chef Mickey's.
Renee, I hope you join the jamboree and have a fabulous visit with Chef Mickey! Please stop by
planDisney anytime. See ya real soon!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
