Hiya Jennifer!
Jennifer, nothing starts my day out right quite like breakfast with Mickey Mouse and Pals. I haven't had the chance to try out the brand new family-style menu yet, but I can't wait to! Just thinking about the
Banana Bread French Toast is making my mouth water!
As I am sure you have experienced, reservations at character meals can be a bit tricky, just because everyone wants to get a chance to have some fun with their favorite pal's first thing in the morning.
Jennifer, the concept of the walk-up waitlist for a
Chef Mickey's breakfast reservation is pretty simple. When you first wake up, open your
My Disney Experience Mobile App and click "Check Dining Availability." Enter your party and the current date, then under "Search by Time" click "Now."
You will then see a list of restaurants together with a note on if they are currently taking walk-up waitlist requests, or if that dining location is full. If they are taking a waitlist, you may be asked to move closer to the restaurant to get your name on the list.
While I have heard of the walk-up waitlist being available for Chef Mickey's, I would still try to snag an
advanced dining reservation if I were you, since I have seen it be full more often than not.
I typically have the best luck getting a dining reservation the week leading up to our trip and have even found plenty of dining reservations the night before. People generally cancel 24-hours in advance so that they will not be charged a cancellation fee, so keep checking!
If you are unable to get into Chef Mickey's,
Garden Grill Restaurant in EPCOT has a wonderful menu with Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale, and tends to be a little easier to get a reservation.
I hope that this helped, Pal. Please come on back here to planDisney if we can help you plan your magical adventure.
See you real soon!
