Hi Suzi! April is a very popular month to visit Disney World, so you're smart to be making your dining reservations in advance. On the Disney website you can search for "character dining" for a certain day and time and pull up all the available reservations at the various character meals. I just did that for your trip and found 7 restaurants with character meals available for your party size on April 3 between 9 and 11 a.m. If you click
here, put in your date and desired time, and then select "character dining" in the "Cuisine or Dining Experience" box, you should be able to see the available options.
Don't worry about making a late morning breakfast reservation. The restaurant hours generally reflect the times that you can make reservations, not the serving times. Even if you book the last reservation of the day, you won't be rushed or left with a picked-over buffet. The characters continue visiting the tables, the food is kept hot and fresh, and you're welcome to stay as long as you desire to eat your fill and meet all the characters. (Generally you'll be at a character meal about an hour.) Late morning reservations are often great times for character meals. Because the restaurants tend to be less crowded later in the morning, you often have longer visits with the characters.
