We are trying to plan a visit to WDW for early December 2012. I see that there will be fireworks during MVMCP, but are there any chances to see fireworks at the Magic Kingdom during the Christmas season without attending that event?

Hi Jamie!  December is one of my most favorite times of the year to visit Walt Disney World!  The Disney Resorts and parks are beautifully decorated for the Holiday Season and there is Christmas music at every turn!  Wishes Nighttime Spectacular, a dazzling firework display set to a beautiful musical score, is shown on most evenings in the Magic Kingdom Park. During the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Wishes Nighttime Spectacular is replaced by Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season firework extravaganza. I do think you should get the opportunity to experience the magic of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular on one of the evenings during your December trip!  Unfortunately, Park Hours are not available for the month of December at this time. Please check back in another month or so to see if the December Park Hours are posted. Follow the link above to view the Disney Parks Calendar through September. Please write back if you have any other questions that I can answer for you. Sending pixie-dusted wishes your way that you will get to see Wishes Nighttime Spectacular on your December Trip!
    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
