I am trying to plan our visit to DisneyWolrd and viewing the calendar for various entertainment events. However, over the past week, the calendar has changed several times for the dates in which I am interested. Is this normal?

The calendar feature is a fairly new one, started in 2009. There is no doubt that they are still perfecting it, as when things get posted, and in fact what gets posted is still a bit all over the map.

I know it can be frustrating, but the real truth is that they probably have not been changing their show performance schedules all that much, but have been more dealing with getting accustomed to posting the information.

What you can rely on, at least from what I have experienced by watching it WAY TOO CLOSELY for the last year is that park hours, extra magic hours, and major event show times (fireworks, parades) are both reliable, and pretty consistent.

However, you are planning a Disney vacation. Not something to be trifled with! So if you have any concerns about a specific show, you should call your resort and ask them what they might be able to do to get you a solid answer about a time or date of a performance.

    Good luck!

    Have a magical vacation!
