We are trying to plan a trip to WDW. Due to budget restrictions, I would like to book a Value Hotel, but my son has a medical issue that requires his medication to be refrigerated. Does WDW reduce the refrigerator fee in Value hotels for this reason?

Hi, Robin!  Walt Disney World will provide you with a refrigerator at no cost if the refrigerator is needed for medical reasons, even in a Value resort.  When you make your reservation, just let the cast member know that you will need the refrigerator in your room for your son's medication, and they will note it on your room reservation.  In many cases, the refrigerator is not there when you check in, but brought to you after you arrive.  They will hook it up in your room even if you are out enjoying the theme parks.

I always reminded them at the front desk when I checked in, just to make sure it was noted on my reservation.  I used to have to store my insulin in a refrigerator, and they were wonderful in working with me!

I hope you have a magical vacation!
