Hi I am trying to plan a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort and I was wondering when the best and quietest time to travel would be and I wouldn't be travelling for long and I want to have not a lot of lines or be surrounded by too too many people. Thank

    Hi there Karlee!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  We're glad you're here!  You're very wise to consider crowd levels when planning a Walt Disney World vacation. Although it can be quite difficult to predict crowd levels with 100% accuracy, there are certain times of the year that are traditionally more crowded. The most crowded times of the year are usually when school is out for Spring Break, Summer and Holidays. The independent website allears.net features a Historic Attendance Levels Chart, which categorizes the "lowest attendance" times of the year as January (after New Year's Day) until just prior to Presidents' Week in February, the week following Labor Day until the week prior to Thanksgiving (with the exception of Columbus Day Weekend) and the week following Thanksgiving until mid-December. I have always found this Historic Attendance Levels Chart to be very reliable. I would also suggest avoiding the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, which will be January 8 - January 12, 2014. I hope this information helps!  Please don't hesitate to visit me again with any additional vacation planning questions. Best wishes for a magical "crowd free" trip, Karlee!

    Happy Planning,
