Aloha, Cecelia. Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I am so happy that you are coming to stay at one of my absolute favorite resorts,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Cecelia, this resort has absolutely everything you could want: a tropical atmosphere, spectacular dining options, and a fabulous pool. Not to mention the quick transportation to the Magic Kingdom thanks to the boat transportation and monorail.
Cecelia, when it comes to accommodation type, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort mainly consists of standard hotel rooms and deluxe studios. In fact, at this particular resort, there are only three suites available, and all are quite expensive, so you would be better sticking to three standard hotel rooms.
If you are looking to make this a once in a lifetime trip,
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows also offers several overwater bungalows. These two-bedroom units are definitely where I would choose to stay if I was on my bucket list trip! You will find that these bungalows are much more expensive than three standard rooms would be, especially if you are able to get a military discount on one.
If you are looking to all stay together, I have found that other resorts such as
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, and
Disney's Old Key West Resort offer multi-room suites at a slightly more reasonable rate.
If you do choose to stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, I just know that you will have a magical time. Be sure to grab a Dole Whip at
Pineapple Lanai, check out the island delights at
Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace, and catch the fireworks on the beach.
Hang Loose!
