Hi Stacey!
I'm excited to hear you're planning a holiday trip! All of the parks and resorts are decorated so beautifully at this time of year. It is truly breathtaking!
One of the highlights of your holiday trip is sure to be
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. During the party, the Magic Kingdom will be celebrating with the finest decorations, special parades and entertainments, and, of course, the most spectacular fireworks show you'll ever see. To top it all off, it may even snow on Main Street, U.S.A. While some of the entertainment or activities may be cancelled if Florida is experiencing inclement weather, it is very rare for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party to be cancelled. In fact, in my research, this has only happened a handful of times during the lifetime of the event. If you happen to experience this rare cancellation, I would encourage you to find a Cast Member at the theme park or at your Walt Disney World Resort. They will be able to assist you, and work to make the best of the situation.
I wouldn't hesitate to purchase tickets for the party once they are available. Often, there is a small discount for your advance purchase and you'll lock in your party date. Since the most popular dates do sell out in advance, it will be reassuring to know that your tickets are already reserved.
While you're at the party, be sure to keep your eye out for exclusive treats and merchandise that are only available during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Finding just the right party souvenir might be a great way to remember your Walt Disney World vacation!
Also, be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as your trip approaches. They'll have the latest news on the holiday happenings at Walt Disney World. In fact, you may even get some great not-to-miss
tips for spending the holidays at the parks!
I hope you have a great trip!
