Hi there, Alyssa! Thank you for returning to planDisney with another question. Welcome back!
I love to plan surprise vacations and I think a Disney Cruise is such a special way to commemorate this milestone birthday! How fun! If you would like to keep this present a surprise, please
call Disney Cruise Line to book the sailing and let them know you'd like emails and notifications to be paused for your parents.
Pre-arrival email communications and final payment reminders can be suppressed for the booking, however, as
Castaway Club members, if your parents decide to log on to their Disney Cruise Line account or log into the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, the booking will appear under "My Reservations". I'll cross my fingers with you and hope that they don't do that before you share the surprise with them!
Additionally, if you decide to purchase the
Vacation Protection Plan, an email will automatically be sent from Aon Affinity once the final payment for the cruise has been made. I hope this information helps as you decide when to share the exciting news! Once you have presented your parents with the gift, please call Disney Cruise Line so that email notifications can be resumed as you prepare for your sailing.
During the booking process, you can also indicate that you are celebrating a special birthday. You may consider browsing the
Onboard Gifts section of the Disney Cruise Line website as you prepare for the celebration. You can order birthday-themed stateroom decor or even a birthday cake to enjoy together.
I'm wishing you and your family a most magical celebration. Enjoy the memories you will make and the special time spent together.
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
