Trying to plan our reservations for our upcoming trip in June. We have on the disney dining plan. Is it best to reserve all table service meals for lunch or dinner? Can you use quick service meals for breakfast? I want to get the most for the money.

Hi, Deborah!  The dining plan is a great way to get the biggest bang for your dining dollar at Walt Disney World!

I think most people automatically assume that they will spend more during lunch or dinner than they will at breakfast, and in many cases, that's true.  But if you are planning to do a character breakfast, especially something special like Cinderella's Royal Table, you might find breakfast is a little more pricey than you would spend at lunch time or even enjoying a quick dinner.

Map out which restaurants and which meals are your must do experiences, and visit sites like allears.net to check out their menus and prices.  That will give you some idea of how much each of your meals will cost based on the flat buffet price, or by pricing out the components of the meal you hope to try.

You can use your quick service meal at any meal time, so if you find that you've got a day planned where you want to do a big breakfast that will be a little more expensive - and a little heavier of a meal - you might want to plan that day to do your quick service for dinner.

I also recommend making advanced dining reservations for your table service meals.  Some of the more popular restaurants will book in advance, and you don't want to miss out on a dining experience your family is really looking forward to!

    Have a great vacation!
