Hi! I am trying to plan a gender reveal for my upcoming trip to Disney. If I book capture your moment at Hollywood Studios, would it be possible to arrange for the photographer to come to a meet and greet with Sully?

Hiya, Liz! I'm so glad you traveled through Monstropolis and brought this great question to planDisney!

First of all - CONGRATULATIONS! When it comes to celebrating big life events, like welcoming a new bundle of joy, I can't think of a better place than Walt Disney World Resort. I'd love to help you with your announcement plans!

Liz, booking a Capture Your Moment photo session in Disney's Hollywood Studios sounds like a grand idea! Since these Enchanting Extras can book up in advance, I'd recommend making this reservation as soon as you're able. This is a great way to have a personalized experience that will commemorate one of the most exciting times in your life! I reached out to a Cast Member about your question and they let me know that this request comes down to a few factors that can't be determined beforehand (such as location, time, availability, etc.) since these characters need to be available to all Guests during their meeting times. The Cast Member let me know that your best course of action would be to talk to your specific photographer on the day of your Capture Your Moment photo session. If this plan doesn't allow you to meet Sulley during your photo session, no worries! Hakuna Matata! I have some ideas that I think will be just right for you.

    • You can incorporate Sulley into your Capture Your Moment photo session by bringing in a plush or pins! In fact, picking a meaningful object that represents your gender reveal would be extra special, considering that this can become a souvenir keepsake that you can keep forever.
    • Pick up a complimentary "I'm Celebrating" pin from Guest Relations or most merchandise locations. However, you can also upgrade your pin by having a special customization (for a small fee) from Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom Park or Disney's Days of Christmas in Disney Springs.
    • Consider having a Disney PhotoPass Photographer take a special picture with you and Sulley to represent your gender reveal at his character meeting
    • There's nothing more celebratory than balloons! Pick up a few balloons to use in your photo session that can help in your gender reveal.
    • Personalize some classic Mickey Ears from Fantasy Faire in Magic Kingdom Park prior to your photo session, then bring them along to showcase your future little one's name, birth month, and birth year!
I'm sending you all the faith, trust, and pixie dust as you put the finishing touches on your magical plans to announce your new arrival! If you have any other questions, please visit us again. After all, you've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon!
