Hi there. I am trying to plan a first time trip for me and my 2 children ages 6 & 10. I would like to know which resort in the park would be the best one to stay at with them. Contmep, Floridian, Animal Kingdom, another? Thank You.

My daughters are 5, 7 & 9 and their current favorite resort is the Grand Floridian. Previously it had been the Animal Kingdom Lodge. These resorts are very, very different, but both are gorgeous, and I really enjoy staying at both.

On my own, however, I would probably choose the Yacht Club or Beach Club resorts (connected, so they share many amenities). I love the convenient location, being steps away from Epcot and the Boardwalk area, and a short walk or leisurely boat ride away from Hollywood Studios. This area feels like you are right in the middle of it all, but it's still quiet and serene. The Beach Club also boasts the best pool on Disney property. It's actually more like a mini water park, with 2 acres of fun including waterslide, sand bottomed pool area, traditional pool, and lazy river.

Honestly, though, no matter where you stay you are in Disney, so you can't go wrong! I suggest that you choose your resort based on the themeing which appeals most to you, and I'm sure you will be very happy with wherever you pick.

    Good luck!
