I am trying to plan our first cruise July 2017. I have 2 boys 12&17 and am trying to decide if one deluxe stateroom with veranda will be big enough or if I need two. Help!

Welcome aboard, Jessica! Planning your first sailing with Disney Cruise Line is so exciting! Disney is truly amazing at offering something for everyone in your family, so each of your boys are in for the perfect vacation, as are you and your husband! Add in lots of family time together and individual activities for each of you, and it's the recipe for many magical memories!

My family of four enjoys a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom or a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah each time we sail. Both have been plenty of space for us. For a little extra room, the Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms (with or without verandah) are available too. Either way, these rooms are much more spacious than you may imagine. Be sure to check out the photos of them on Disney Cruise Line's website. There is a queen sized bed as well as a convertible sofa bed, which folds over to become a twin size bed. Another twin pulls out of the ceiling above it to create bunk beds.

A second option for your family if you'd like to spread out more would be to book two connecting staterooms, whether they be Inside, Oceanview, or Verandah. One plus with two Verandah connecting staterooms is that your stateroom host can fold back the partition between the two verandahs creating one larger verandah to share!

Keep in mind that you probably won't be spending too much time in your stateroom except for showering and sleeping. Did you know that most of Disney Cruise Line's staterooms include split bathrooms? There is one bathroom with a shower and sink and another bathroom with the toilet and another sink. Both include shelving to store your items. It's so handy when all four of us are getting showered and dressed for dinner to have two bathrooms to utilize! Have fun planning your trip, Jessica!
