    I am trying to plan a family trip to WDW and would like to include stops at both water parks. Are they open year round, and is there a time of year that they seem less crowded?

    Hi Amy,

    The water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, are great places to spend a day with your family. Each park has its own distinct fun and going to both during your trip is really cool.

    In general, one water park is open daily. Each year, usually in December and January, each park will close for a month long refurbishment. You can check the hours of the parks for your vacation.

    The water parks are most crowded during May-August as this is peak vacation time with the school out. The water is heated to 82 degress as are all of the pools at the Walt Disney World Resorts.
