hello, i am trying to pick when to travel next year. when does the parks start putting up Halloween decorations in early or late august or in September. as i would like to see the park before and after the decoration. thank you

    Hi, Jude!
That sounds like a really fun plan. I happened to be at Walt Disney World Resort when the parks were in transition so I think I have a pretty good idea of how that works.

You'll want to set up your vacation a few days before the first Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Magic Kingdom Park doesn't have the full decorations until the first day of the party. You will be able to see the decorations change along Main Street, U.S.A. If you haven't attended the party, the park is even more Halloween-themed during the party than during regular hours. It's a lot of fun.

I hope that helps with your planning for 2017. This year's party dates were released on the Disney Parks Blog in March, so that's around the time you'll be able to confirm you have those before and after dates for your visit.

Let me know if I can help with any of your other planning questions! I'm happy to help.
