I am trying to see when a 12 person villa would be available.

    Hi Stephanie!

Welcome to planDisney! Disney’s Grand Villas offer the ultimate in space and comfort! With room to sleep up to 12 Guests, they are perfect for a large family, a family reunion, or even friends traveling together. We shared a Grand Villa at Disney’s Old Key West Resort with friends and it was the perfect home base for a week of magic and fun!

Stephanie, the Grand Villas are part of Disney’s Deluxe Villa Accommodations, which are also part of the Disney Vacation Club family of resorts. If you are a Disney Vacation Club Member, you may book a Grand Villa 11 months before check-in at your Home Resort, or 7 months before check-in at other Disney Vacation Club Resorts.

If you are not a Disney Vacation Club Member, you would need to call the Walt Disney World Travel Company regarding booking one of these rooms. Because they are in such high demand by Disney Vacation Club Members, while they can be booked by the public, the availability is extremely limited and sometimes not offered at all. Often availability is not listed on the Walt Disney World Website, and calling is the only way to check what your options might be. Usually these rooms cannot be booked more than 10 to 11 months before check-in. I recommend choosing less popular times to visit to increase the chances you'll find one of these coveted rooms. Avoid times such as holidays and spring break.

If you are unable to secure a Grand Villa, depending on your party size you may want to consider multiple 1 or 2 Bedroom Villas which are much easier to book. You can usually see availability and pricing online between 10 and 11 months before check-in. We have 11 of us going this July and we have split the two families between a 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom villa. If you book multiple rooms you can ask the booking agent to note you are a group traveling together and while it is never a guarantee, Cast Members will do their best to get your rooms near one another.

I do know hold times for calling are currently longer than usual. I would try calling first thing in the morning and be sure you have the time to wait. I’ve been putting my phone on speaker and enjoying the fun Disney music while I get other things done and wait for the next available Cast Member.

Happy planning, Stephanie! Please let us know what other questions we can help you with as you plan your exciting trip!
