Welcome to planDisney, Gretchen! A spring visit to the Disneyland Resort sounds absolutely delightful. The parks truly come alive this time of year, with colorful blooms, gentle sunshine, and that unmistakable sense of Disney magic floating in the air. If you visit during the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, you can enjoy limited-time bites and beverages inspired by California’s vibrant culinary scene.
Good news! I took a peek at the
theme park reservation calendar, and dates are currently open through April 8, 2026. Typically, theme park ticket reservations open around 180 days in advance, so if your trip falls later in the month, those dates should become available soon. I’d recommend checking back periodically as the calendar continues to roll forward. (And if you’re a Magic Key Holder, remember that reservation availability opens on a
slightly shorter schedule: up to 90 days in advance.)
As you get ready for your visit, be sure to download the
Disneyland app if you haven’t already. It’s the ultimate sidekick for navigating the parks. From viewing wait times and joining virtual queues to placing mobile food orders and locating nearby restrooms, it keeps all the details right at your fingertips. Don’t forget to check the “Entertainment” tab to see what’s happening during your trip, whether that’s a high-energy parade along Main Street or the dazzling fireworks lighting up the night sky above Sleeping Beauty Castle.
And here’s a “Q-Tip” for your spring getaway: if you want to meet your favorite Disney pals, start your day early on Main Street. Mickey, Minnie, and friends are often greeting Guests there in the morning. You can also use the “Characters” tab in the Disneyland app to see who’s meeting where.
I’m so excited for all the magical memories ahead, Gretchen. From taking flight on Peter Pan’s Flight to soaring over our planet’s breathtaking landscapes on Soarin’ Around the World, every moment is sure to sparkle with springtime joy.
Wishing you a truly magical visit,
David
