Welcome to planDisney, Nevine!
Some of my favorite memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth are with my mom. I am sure the two of you have an amazing adventure ahead. But before you can finalize those plans and launch vacay mode, we will need to get the two of you linked on
My Disney Experience!
The first thing you will need to do is
create an account for yourself (if you haven't already) and get one started for your mom. When it comes to mom, you have two options. She can create and manage her account (and link it to yours). Or, you can
create and manage an account on her behalf. Both options work great; it really is about personal preference (and tech familiarity!). If you create an account for your mother, it will automatically be linked to yours, and you will be ready to
book Lightning Lanes, dining reservations, and plan on the go together. To create an account for an adult in the
My Disney Experience app, start by tapping the three bars at the bottom of the screen. Scroll down to the
Profile option, and then choose
Family & Friends List. At the bottom of this screen is the
Add a Guest link. Choose
I'll Enter Their Name and Age, and follow the remaining prompts to get your mom signed up and connected.
Should your mother already have an account, you can get linked in a few easy steps. On that same Add a Guest page, there is an option to
Scan their linking code. If you and your mom live close by, you can scan her code to get linked in seconds. Linking codes are found on the bottom of the
My Profile screen. If scanning the code is not an option, you can also send an invitation via email through the Walt Disney World website. Start on the
My Disney Experience tab, and choose
My Family & Friends from the drop-down menu. Click
Add a Guest and fill out the requested info to connect.
I hope these tips help get you linked and back to planning the best trip ever!
