Trying to link Magicband+ to tickets. I have bands and tickets linked into my Disneyland app. Everything has been updated and charged. I have tried all the troubleshooting but continue to get a “Something went wrong. We are unable to load your details”??

    Hello, Jennifer,

"Oh, bother." I’m sorry you seem to be having difficulty with linking and pairing your MagicBand+ devices. I’ve had some difficulties with pairing our MagicBand+ devices too. Maybe some of the things I’ve experienced can be of use to you too. It sounds like you have already tried several things to resolve your MagicBand+ issue. So I apologize in advance if anything I share here is a repeat of some that you have already attempted.

I recommend starting with the regular MagicBand+ setup steps. If that doesn’t resolve the problem, the next step would be to follow the steps on the MagicBand+ support page. If that doesn’t fix things then here are a few more ideas I would like to share.

    1. I applaud you for already making sure your MagicBand+ is charged. Although it is not absolutely necessary for linking a band with your account, it is necessary for Bluetooth pairing with your mobile device. Bluetooth pairing will allow you to use the Disneyland mobile app to customize your band as well as integrate your band with select activities in the Play Disney Parks app.
    2. It sounds like you have already made sure you have the latest version of the Disneyland mobile app downloaded to your mobile device. In some extreme cases, it may also help to uninstall and reinstall the app.
    3. You may have already updated your mobile phone to the latest available operating system. But I’m going to mention that here anyway so I can remember this as well when I look back on this post for reference. Thanks for reminding me of this point!
    4. Sometimes, fully powering off and restarting your mobile phone may help.
    5. Sometimes, I have needed to reset or factory reset my band. This has usually been the case when we are getting ready to visit the Disneyland Resort after recently using our MagicBand+ devices at the Walt Disney World Resort.
    6. One time, my wife’s band first needed to be unlinked from her account before I could link it to my account. Fortunately, the steps to unlink a MagicBand+ and link it to another account are pretty straightforward.
    7. My understanding is that the name assigned to a theme park ticket can sometimes affect assigning a band to it, especially if there doesn’t seem to be any name assigned to the ticket. To make changes to the names assigned to a ticket, you may call the Tickets phone line. I don’t have access to the account information of other Guests. So I don’t know for sure if this applies to you. But the symptom you describe reminds me the most of this particular tip.
    8. As a last resort, you may stop by any of the Guest Relations locations throughout the Disneyland Resort to seek technical assistance.

I hope that gets you a little further along in your quest to prepare for your visit to the Disneyland Resort, Jennifer. If there is anything else we may be able to help with, I hope you’ll visit planDisney again soon.

    Have a magical time!
    ~Tony
