Can I switch my daughter's magic band from mine to her dad's account?

    Hiya, Carley!

Yes, it is possible to unlink a MagicBand+ from your Disneyland Resort account and link it to the account of another Guest. A MagicBand+ may only be linked to one Disneyland Resort account at a time.

Here are the steps to unlink a MagicBand+ using the Disneyland mobile app:

    1. Navigate to the MagicBand+ screen from the app’s ☰ feature menu.
    2. From the list of bands, tap the picture or title of the band you wish to unlink (not the associated ticket).
    3. Scroll to the bottom of the band’s configuration screen and tap the “Unlink” button.

To link the band to another account, perform the following steps in the Disneyland mobile app:

    1. Navigate to the MagicBand+ screen from the app’s ☰ feature menu.
    2. Tap the ‘+’ button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
    3. Tap the “Open Scanner to Link” button and follow the instructions to link the band, or use the “Type ID” method to manually enter the band ID printed underneath the MagicBand+.
    4. Tap “Link to Account” to confirm the link to the new account.
    5. Assign a theme park ticket or Disneyland Resort Magic Key pass to the band. If the new account doesn’t already have the ticket or pass linked to it, you can skip this step and return to it later after linking the ticket or pass to the account.
    6. Recommended: Pair the band with the mobile device. This step will require that the band is charged enough to allow Bluetooth connectivity.

What have been some of your favorite features of the MagicBand+, Carley? I like the surprise interactions on attractions like Haunted Mansion and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. There’s also a little patriotic pull at the heartstrings during the flag retreat ceremony that I suggest Guests experience at least once.

I hope I’ve been able to clear up the MagicBand+ question for you, Carley. If you have any more Disneyland Resort questions, we hope to see you again here at planDisney.

    Have a magical time!
