Trying to link my friend for planning purposes— Menu → My Profile → Family & Friends List.

Welcome to planDisney, Bethanie! As the designated planner in my own friend group, I completely understand the importance of keeping everyone’s plans in sync, especially when there’s Disney magic at stake. Having a clear system helps make sure the only surprises during your visit are the delightful kind, like spotting Mickey around the corner or catching an extra parade performance.

It sounds like you might be familiar with the Family & Friends List at Walt Disney World Resort, which allows Guests to share plans like dining reservations and enchanting extras in My Disney Experience. While the Disneyland Resort doesn’t currently have that exact feature, the Disneyland app has some wonderful tools that help keep your party connected and organized. For starters, you can link everyone’s park tickets and hotel reservations. Once that’s done, it’s a breeze to manage park reservations, Lightning Lane return times, and more, all from the palm of your hand.

To get started, log into your MyDisney account in the app. Tap the menu icon (those three magical lines in the bottom right corner) and select “My Tickets and Passes.” Then tap the plus icon at the top right to link tickets. You can type in the barcode number or, for a little extra efficiency, use the app’s camera scanner. Once everyone’s tickets are linked, your whole crew is ready to enjoy the day together.

Hotel reservations can also be added right in the app. Just scroll to “Hotel Reservations,” and if nothing is listed yet, tap “Link Another Reservation.” Enter the reservation number, check-in date, and the name of a Guest on the booking, and it will pull up your reservation. This ensures your travel party’s plans are neatly tied together in one place.

Once linked, you’ll be able to book Lightning Lanes and enjoy access to Disney PhotoPass photos. A Q-Tip from my own adventures: divide and conquer! While I focus on booking Lightning Lanes for attractions like Indiana Jones Adventure or Soarin’ Over the World, my wife jumps on mobile food orders, saving us time for churros, Dole Whips, and maybe even a chance encounter with Donald on Main Street.

Bethanie, I hope this helps you feel ready to lead your group through a smooth and magical trip. If more questions pop up, we’d be delighted to see you again at planDisney.

Wishing you a trip filled with magical moments and teamwork,
    David
