I am trying to make a hotel reservation. As proof of residence in Florida at the time of check-in, can I show an apartment lease?

    Hiya Maria,

Welcome back to planDisney! I am so excited to answer your question today. I see that you spoke to my fellow panelist Ashley M. about Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel recommendations, so I’m excited to see that you are continuing on the journey of reserving a resort hotel on-property. I’m sure whatever resort hotel you choose, you will love it! There are so many incredible benefits to staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel. My favorite, of course, is the Extra Magic Hours in the Theme Parks; the more time I can spend in the Most Magical Place on Earth, the better.

Unfortunately, an apartment lease is not an accepted form of proof of Florida Residency at this time. Luckily there are several different acceptable forms that Walt Disney World Resort takes that you may already have access to.

-Valid Florida Driver’s License with Florida address
-Valid Florida state-issued ID card that has a Florida address
    -Valid Florida-based military ID
    -Proof of Current Mortgage
-Bills, Policies, Select Mail, or Proof of Registration

I hope this was helpful, Maria! We are all EARs at planDisney and available to answer your planning questions for your upcoming April trip if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning!

When we are not piloting the Millennium Falcon, exploring Kilimanjaro Safaris, or watching fireworks, you can find me planning our next adventure to Walt Disney World! I am so excited that you are planning a trip, and I look forward to helping you dig a little deeper and find the magic in all of the wonders of Walt Disney World Resort. Learn More About Ashley
