I am trying to help a friend plan a Disney Cruise - her first Disney Cruise and first with a one-year-old. She was told Disney charges full price for a baby to cruise. Is that true? What activities would you recommend for a mom with a one-year-old?

    Ahoy, Carole!
You are so sweet to assist your friend with her plans for her first Disney Cruise! A magical voyage on the high seas is there perfect vacation for sailors of all ages. Your friend will be able to experience character meet and greets, toddler time activities, splash areas, play time in the youth spaces during Open House hours, the nursery (for a nominal fee), dance parties and more! Disney Cruise Line makes traveling with little ones very easy by providing complimentary diaper disposal units, pack and plays, bottle sterilizers and warmers! They will even prepare pureed food. My son was about 18 months on our first Disney Cruise, and I treasure those special memories we made on that sailing. He enjoyed that cruise as much as he's enjoyed the ones he can remember!
I checked on the pricing and your friend is correct about the baby's cruise fare. Disney Cruise Line does not offer pricing for single occupancy rooms. The price for one adult is the same as two adults, so that would be the same for an adult and baby. If two adults were staying in the same stateroom, the fare would be less for the third Guest.
Thank you for reaching out with your questions, Carole. If we can assist you or your friend further, please let us know!
    Have a magical day!
