We are trying to firm up the dates for our WDW trip in December. I have read that the first 2 weeks are best, but is there much of a crowd difference between the 1st and 2nd week? We are trying to decide between the 3-13 or the 11-20. Thanks!

There is a HUGE difference in crowd levels from the beginning of December to the end of December. To illustrate this, all you have to do is look at Disney's room pricing structure HERE and click on the button that says "view rate seasons." You can see that in 2008, November 30 to December 18 is considered the "value" season, with prices the lowest of the year. As supply and demand would have it, this really means that crowds are at their lowest point too. Another look at that pricing chart shows that December 19 to 31 is "holiday" where prices are their highest. Again, this means that crowds are at their highest too.

If you're looking to avoid crowds and save money, I'd plan to have your vacation end by 18th of December.
