We are trying to find out what the vegetarian lunch for the wild african trek include? Thanks for you help.

    Hi Robert,

I see your Walt Disney World vacation starts tomorrow.  How exciting!  You are going to absolutely go wild over the Wild Africa Trek.  It's nothing short of amazing, and after 3 hours exploring the Safi River Valley and getting up-close-and-personal with the animals, I'm guessing you'll have quite the appetite.  For both morning and afternoon adventurers, a specially-prepared tin of gourmet snacks is served during the tour.  Each tin contains 6 items that have been chosen by the chef, based on what's available and in season for that day.  That means the menu can change from one day to the next, but some of the standard menu items are listed on the Wild Africa Trek website.  After a couple calls, I was able to get a little more information on what's typically included on the vegetarian menu.  Those items might include things like dried fruit chutney, sun-dried tomato hummus and mini pita bread, rice pilaf salad, green salad, fresh fruit salad with mint and ginger, couscous salad and tandoori tofu.  Sounds delicious to me and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!  You'll want to be sure you've let them know in advance that you'll need a vegetarian option.  If you haven't already done that, just call (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463) and the fantastic Cast Members there can get that added to your reservation.

Wishing you a most magical vacation, Robert, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
